Had a call from Ross Burrows, my personal Naval surgeon

*

Better known as Doctor Horton Hooten – Burrows, an old navy mate (not really a Doc but a Naval PO Medic) who I hadn’t seen for at least 20 years. He called this morning, so we met in the Palmerston North Coffee Club for a bit of a natter. They then went on to Carterton. Had a wonderful catch up including reminiscing over the best trip ever on HMNZS Taranaki up to Expo 70 in Osaka, Japan.

David prepares our crayfish – caught by Paul (My son) who lives on Great Barrier Island and delivered by Paul to George (my wife’s son in Auckland) and then George delivered to Palmerston  North, much to the delight of his mother.

Got the shingles

*
Had a bit of pain on my recent trip and some red blotches so called into my doc, had a 1 minute look and pronounced “shingles”, I had just had the injection a couple of weeks ago too but apparently 25% chance of still getting it so now full of medication.
